Arnold Aragon, of Crow and Laguna heritage, was raised on reservations in Montana and New Mexico. His artwork reflects the culture and traditions of both Plains and Pueblo Tribes. Alabaster, marble, and limestone are his choice of stone. Carving detailed warrior figures to abstract bear fetishes, Arnold has used his creativity to produce many unique and breathtaking pieces. Arnold's artistic talents began as a child using pencil, ink, and chalk to produce his first drawings, then continued though college in Billings, Montana, where he began formal art training. In 1978, he attended the Institute of American Indian Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico, where his focus of study was sculpture. While in Santa Fe, Arnold had the opportunity to learn from well known sculptors such as Allan Houser and Larry Avakana. Since graduation in 1980, Arnold has made his living as a professional sculptor on the Walker River Indian Reservation, Schurz, Nevada, where he resides with his wife and family.

As Arnold's work has developed, so has the number of those collecting his work. His stone sculptures are owned by collectors such as Randy Travis, and held in a number of private collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Arnold has won several awards and is a featured artist in "Contemporary Native American Artists", by author, Dawn Reno.    Arnold accepts commissions in alabaster and marble. He has recently completed a large life size marble sculpture for the City of South Lake Tahoe. The sculpture subject is a life size Washoe woman carrying a child.
